LANA TURNER AND CHERYL CRANE AT AGE 74
Lana Turner was one of Old Hollywood’s biggest stars, even becoming of the industry’s highest paid actresses at the height of her fame. Aside from being a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s asset, Turner is also known for a very colorful personal life. One of the most talked about events in the actress’ life is was her involvement in the death of her ex-partner, Johnny Stompanato. During a heated argument which turned physical, Turner’s daughter, Cheryl Crane, came to her defense and stabbed Stompanato, causing his death. Since the court found the young Crane’s action as a way of protecting her mother, both Lana and her daughter were not found guilty. Cheryl Crane did not follow in her mother’s footsteps, and instead pursued a career in real estate and writing books.
